Time flies - again it's already more than two weeks since my last update! I got a ton of new pictures though.
First, back to the
travelogue:

On the 11th day of my parents' stay in the US we concluded our road trip; we took Highway 1 from Los Angeles back to San Francisco, along California's beautiful coast. Even after the interesting, diverse, and breathtaking places we had seen during our trip, the Northern California Coastline still was a real attraction (elephant seals, the most beautiful shades of blue on Earth, and a town which was once goverend by Clint Eastwood contributed to this effect quite a bit).

Alright, here's a few more recent events:
Ladies' NightA few weeks back we had a fun
Girls' Night Out. Initially we wanted to go out for dinner first, but we would have waited for a table forever, so we decided to get our pizza "to go", and eat it at one of the ladies' house nearby (where some of the gentlemen were having a quiet evening in, but welcomed us warmly). After we were done with our pizza, we headed out for some fun on the town.
Sunday BarbequeThe same weekend, Ed and I hosted a fairly spontaneous
BBQ party on Sunday afternoon, which lasted into late Sunday night. And which effects lingered with some of the attendents well into Monday.
Thirty-oneMy birthday this year began quite cozy, shortly after the advent of the 16th, with a glass of wine, and
dear mail from home.
Late successEd and I continued to celebrate on the weekend, quite rustic, while
camping in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Where we, surprisingly so, finally figured out how to correctly attach the stupid flysheet to our tent. Which we had attempted to do three or four times in the past, to no avail. We always ended up either omitting the fly, or somehow affixing it in an awkward, temporary way.
Another Girls' NightEarlier this week I hosted
Beads n' Booze, a ladies' jewelry making night. Our large dining table is extremely great to have, and a husband who loves nothing more than making cocktails and refilling the crafting gals' wine glasses is a real blessing.
In memoriamFinally, some sad news: Bruce died.
Bruce was our pet fish, for more than a year. On the sad occasion of his death I put together a few photos of
Bruce's moving in with us in April 2006.
